I created this piece around the theme of international struggle, which was a focus of Uncle Bob's activism later in his life. The aesthetic comes from the cultural traditions of my Mexican American community and references the folk art form of papel picado (cut paper). The final balcony will be powder coated red, as seen in the architectural rendering (the final design is not represented in the rendering but is shown here for context).
